Newcomer Tactics for Pai Gow Poker
June 18th, 2018 by Angeline

Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the western in an excellent game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler against the dealer, not like nearly all other poker games that players play with other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, new players don’t need to fret about other, more skillful individuals winning their money.

One more Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game pace, beginners should be able to take their time and plan without having to make quick selections.

It is also much simpler to bet on for an extended time with basically a small bit of cash after all, to lose, each of your hands needs to be under both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards face up and the croupier is given 7 cards face down.

One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the houses.
