Online Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen
July 31st, 2023 by Angeline

Gus Hansen enjoyed a marvelous year on the WPT where he was the only participant to make it to the closing poker table in three of the events. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he paid $400, 000 to play. You might remember one of the largest pots in high stakes poker recorded history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Gus won a huge pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Gus has earned many televised poker appearances and is considered to be one of the greatest enthusiasts anywhere in the world. While gambling on net poker, another side of Hansen has appeared. He frequently participates in the 200/400 No Limit max buy-in of Forty Thousand dollars. Gus usually buys-in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very weak. He waits for a good hand and then goes all-in. I accept that Hansen is an outstanding poker player but not even close to the familiar players at 200/400NL. Unless he is penniless, he has little or no reason to settle at the table with the min buy in.

Buying in for the min takes a majority of the ability out of big stack poker. Hansen is supposed to be one of the best players in the world but he cannot buy in for the full amt.. I believe television can alter our perception of the real world at times. The greatest players anywhere in the world could be guys you have never heard of before. Gus can be found wagering on internet poker on Full Tilt. He commonly plays in big stakes omaha/8 and texas holdem. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a competition player. Can he back up his skills in money rounds?
